11. ขอตัวก่อนนะครับ/คะ[kŏr dtua gòn na kráp/ká] : May I Be Excused?

How to speak in Thai language for excuse someone as you are about to leave from any place that you are there.


Learn the sentence to say in Thai the sentence “May I be excused?” as following form:

ขอตัว ก่อน นะ ครับ/คะ 
kŏr dtua gòn na kráp/ká 
May I be excused?


To use the above words, supposing in role playing as you were in the party, then you want to leave from that place due it’s for home.

You can speak out the sentence teaching today in this article.

Anyway, due Thai language usually have few particular particles to describe gender of the speaker. 

Men and women use the different particle.  

Therefore, see what correct sentence for you to use it is.

This below sentence is for man to use.

ขอตัวก่อนนะครับ 
kŏr dtua gòn na kráp 
May I be excused?

For woman, please use the following sentence instead.

ขอตัวก่อนนะคะ 
kŏr dtua gòn na  
May I be excused?

The meaning of the sentence is the same.

Just add the special particle at the end each sentence for notify respect from speakers to listeners.


If you say just only the sentence above without particle like ขอตัวก่อนนะ[kŏr dtua gòn na], it would not wrong at all. But it just like some kind of speaking in a short word.
