Hello all, today I would like to give the Thai language sentence
for greeting one another. Thai use this sentence "สวัสดี ค่ะ/ครับ sà-wàt-dee khâa/kráp" to say hello when they have
met anyone at any time.
It's very good for anyone who wants to learn speaking Thai language. Just beginning from the word "สวัสดี ค่ะ/ครับ sà-wàt-dee khâa/kráp" as for your kick off.
Here below the first Thai sentence for your good start practice speaking Thai:
สวัสดี ค่ะ
sà-wàt-dee khâa
Good morning/Good after noon/Good evening/Hello
The sentence above is used by females only. So if you are woman, you just say that.
สวัสดี ครับ
sà-wàt-dee kráp
Good morning/Good after noon/Good evening/Hello
If you are man, you speak the immediate above sentence for greeting the others.
Don't be confused the two sentences above. Thai has some particles to be used by each speaker, which are depending on their gender.
ค่ะ khâa is Thai particle for women use indicating more polite(affirmative sentence)
ครับ kráp is also Thai particle putting at the end of sentence for men use indicating more polite.
It would be nice to say one of these words above at the end of your words.
This sentence can be used at any time of the day and to anyone. It's general words to say in daily life.
However, there are some more greeting words that they are used by Thai too. I am going to write them for the next articles. Don't miss!
