"Are you Thai?" : "คุณ เป็น คนไทย หรือเปล่า" | Learn How to speak Thai with the "Learn Thai By Sentences" Blog

Hi! Everyone.

My name is Michael Leng. Today, I'm going to teach you about Thai sentences making a question and answer such as:

"Are you Thai?"

Thai kids in countryside

My article consists of 3 parts. In the first part, I'll describe how to use the sentence for asking some questions. 

Then, I'll tell you the sentence aswer to the question as a reply in the affirmative from and after that, I'll move on to how to say in Thai for the reply in the negative form.

Now let's start with the sentence asking "Are you ...?"

คุณ เป็น คนไทย หรือเปล่า

Are you Thai?

We are coming to the second part for now. In this part, we are going to learn how to speak the answer to the all question sentences above.

Now, we are going to learn some sentences which will be used to say as the negative answer sentences. Let's start it now.

คุณ	khun	Title, of Pali/Sanskrit origin Mr ; Mrs ; Miss ; Ms (คุณ , usually transliterated as "Khun", is a standard polite and relatively formal title used before the names of both men and women in Thai. Unlike the English equivalent titles though, "Khun" is always used before first names and not surnames. This is a practice many Thais carry over when talking in English, so in Thailand John Smith would frequently be called Mr John (Khun John) rather than Mr Smith. This habit leaves the English of many Thais sounding somewhat more informal than they intended.)
