Today’s sentences- I am going to teach you the sentence to say begging for your pardon when you cannot hear or catch someone tries to say something to you.

Okay, let us start with this sentence first:

If you are a man, you say:

ขอโทษ ครับ
khŏr tôht kráp
I beg your pardon.

In addition, you should say one more sentence to make your interlocutor understand what you totally mean about.

So you say:

คุณ พูด ว่า อะไร นะ ครับ
khun phut wâa a-rai na kráp
What did you say please?

Vice versa if you are a woman, you use the following sentences.

ขอโทษ ค่ะ
khŏr tôht kâa
I beg your pardon.

คุณ พูด ว่า อะไร นะ คะ
khun phut wâa a-rai na ká
What did you say please?

Then your colloquist shall say some sentence back to you such as:

This sentence below is for man to use.

ผม พูด ว่า พวกเรา ออก ไป หา อะไร กิน กัน ไหม
pŏm phut wâa pûak rao òk bpai hăa a-rai gin gan măi
I said, let's go out and get something to eat.

And this is for woman to speak.

ฉัน พูด ว่า พวกเรา ออก ไป หา อะไร กิน กัน ไหม
pŏm phut wâa pûak rao òk bpai hăa a-rai gin gan măi
I said, let's go out and get something to eat.

Don't worry, be happy. Thai language has pronounce and particle for man and woman. You only use any sentence which comply your genre. That's it.

It's very super easy, right?

Bye,
Michael Leng.
