10. ลาก่อนค่ะ[laa gòn kâa] = Goodbye. / ลาก่อนครับ[laa gòn kráp] = Goodbye.

Sa-wat-dee! Today, I'm, Michael Leng, going to talk about:

How to say "GOODBYE" in Thai

It's very super easy to the word GOODBYE in Thai language.

I have only two sentences for you to study in the today's article.

In the first sentence, you'll learn how to say "Goodbye" that which is for women. Then, after that, it'll move on to the sentence for men to use it.

good bye in Thai?

When you are about to leave from some places that you go to visit or attend for whatever purpose, and you want to go now.

Therefore, learn Thai the sentence to use for saying “Goodbye” as following:

If you are a woman, you use the sentence below to say for leaving notify.

ลาก่อน ค่ะ
laa gòn kâa
Goodbye.

If you are a man, say something a bit different as:

ลาก่อน ครับ
laa gòn kráp
Goodbye.

Because Thai language has some particles for describing respect of speaker to listener.

One can see the particle as ค่ะ[kâa] and ครับ[kráp] at the end of the both sentences above.

ค่ะ[kâa] serves as the particle for speaker whom is a woman while;

ครับ[kráp] serves for a man to use it accordingly.

That brings me to the end of my posting. Thank you for your kind attention.

ลาก่อนครับ
แล้วพบกันใหม่

Good bye,
See you again.

Michael Leng
