"Good Luck" in Thai


Want to say “Good luck” in Thai language? It's "โชคดี".

As you may know, this word is used when we want to wish someone the very best for any fortune such as for exams, trip, job interview etc.

What is the word "good luck" in Thai?

In Thai language, you can say that like the sentences following:

ขอให้ โชคดี
kŏr hâi chôhk dee
Good luck.

The above sentence can be used for both genders female and male.

ขอให้ โชคดี ครับ
kŏr hâi chôhk dee kráp
Good luck.

It's for men to say the word above, due to the particle ครับ[kráp] is for men to use.

ขอให้ โชคดี ค่ะ
kŏr hâi chôhk dee kâa
Good luck.

If you see the particle ค่ะ[kâa] at the end of any sentence. Be noted those are said by female only.

Well, we can make the sentence as I have mentioned above, ขอให้โชคดี = Good luck. in short form.

You may know that Thai people also have the particular greeting word as same as English: the word “Good morning” is อรุณสวัสดิ์ ค่ะ /ครับ[a-run sà-wàt  khâa/ kráp] in Thai.
